MEET THE Founders

Freddy Kleinschwaerzer (GER)

After his grandmaster passed away, he fell into a big hole. In 1995, he met Grand Master Neal J. Hummerstone in Florida by chance. He accepted Freddy as a student and intensive and well-founded tactical training continued with this top instructor. In 2017 Freddy was awarded the 10th Dan by Grandmaster Neal. 2 years later GM Neal passed away.

In 2017 Freddy met the Israeli Amnon Maor in Munich. Freddy was asked by a friend of the State Office of Criminal Investigation to take over the legal supervision of his personal protection and security training. Freddy was immediately impressed by the Israeli, as he was very close to his way of teaching. So he began to continue his tactical training with Amnon Maor. Today Freddy is one of his Krav Maga instructors in Germany.

This is how he came to personal protection alongside his work with the Federal Border Guard (better known to all as the elite GSG 9 unit). In 1989, he began to specialize within the BGS. After intensive training at the Federal Foreign Office in conjunction with the Federal Criminal Police Office and the GSG 9, he took on his first assignment as Diplomatic Head of Security at the German Embassy in Dublin, Ireland. After this assignment, he moved on to the German Embassy in Beijing/China. This was followed by an assignment in Ankara/Turkey.

In the millennium year he returned to his domestic service and began deporting illegal, criminal offenders to their home countries. For 4 years he was on the main route Algeria, Vietnam, Thailand and Tunisia.

In 2004, he was asked if he would be interested in working for the United Nations. He underwent further intensive training at the International Police School and went to Kosovo for a year. Here he initially worked as head of the border intelligence service and after a few months moved to the KPS School in Vushtrii (Kosovo Police Service School) as head of training for police tactics and training.

After his return he went to the police academy as Police Defensive Tactics Instructor and taught officers of the higher police service (in 2004 the BGS was renamed Federal Police). After a few months, he was given the opportunity to go back to a German embassy. This time he was drawn to Prague/Czech Republic. In 2010, he took on a very special assignment for the European Union. He went to Georgia for a year as a Monitor (Security Liaison Officer). After his return and until his retirement, he worked as Chief Defensive Tactics, including shooting instructor at the headquarters of the Munich Federal Police Directorate.

He retired from active police service in 2021, taking a well-deserved retirement. He only enjoyed his retirement for a short time, as he was reactivated by the Federal Foreign Office in 2022 as diplomatic security for German embassies abroad. After further training, this was followed by assignments in Bulgaria/Sofia and currently Tashkent/Uzbekistan.
